About Me

Hello! My name is Ms. McGuire. I am 29 years old and I live in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina. I was born in Oklahoma when my mother was attending the University of Oklahoma making me a die-hard Sooner fan. When I was 6 years old, we moved to Cary, North Carolina.

The importance of education is instilled in my heart. I have always known that education would be an important part of my life. I started my “educational career” in Wake County Schools. After I graduated high school, I went to East Carolina University. At East Carolina, I obtained a bachelor in Political Science with a minor in History.

After completing my undergrad at ECU, I continued on to earn a Master in Arts and Teaching where I concentrated on middle grades social studies and mathematics.

I started my teaching career in Harnett County for two years before moving to Wake County.

Last winter, I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Master in 21st Century Teaching and Technology. I am a lifelong learner and haven’t stopped learning yet.

In my free time, I enjoy going to ECU and OU football games, reading a great book. hanging out with friends, or traveling the world.
